Main purpose of job
Responsible for selling Malvern products and managing regional dealers within defined sales territory. Especially focused on life science sales in Korea.
Works closely with applications and service to ensure customer satisfaction with Malvern products.
Develop life science market in Korea to promote innovation products line.
To present and promote Malvern Instruments in a professional manner at all times.

Territory Sales Manager – Korea.
Responsibilities
• Manages defined sales territory and ensures that Malvern Instruments is represented in all relevant purchases. Calls on necessary available resource to close business in Malvern¡¯s favour.
• Develop Life science market and promote innovation products line in Korea
• Achieve monthly and annual targets for the territory.
• Maintains sales data base and develops mailing list and prospect levels.
• Maintains opportunities in SAP on a timely basis.
• Provides accurate forecast information on status of all prospects on a monthly basis.
• Develops and maintains good level of product knowledge for Malvern range and for competition lines.
• Feeds back customer activity and market/product opportunities to Product Management.
• Conducts demonstrations, attends seminars and exhibitions. Promotes professional image of Malvern Instruments at all times.

Accountability
Works independently within company guidelines to achievement of agreed objectives and sales targets. Consults with Territory Sales Manager - Korea where decisions are likely to effect company profitability.

Communicates verbally and in writing with customers and sales prospects, to all levels.

Regular discussions with applications and service personnel. Most frequently with Territory Sales Manager – Korea.
Environment and hours
Based in the Spectris Korea office covering the designated Korea territory. Regular travel is a requirement. Because of the nature of the post there are no set hours.
Skills and knowledge required of the job holder
Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent standard in a science subject is required
with higher qualifications being desirable.
Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Generic Engineering preferred.
Experience
At least 3 years sales experience in a related industry is required.
Experience of selling analytical instruments and process equipment to Life science company preferred.
Knowledge
Knowledge of process facilities or particle sizing, proteomics, metabolomics method would be an advantage.
Understanding method of preparation and characterization for therapies proteins
Excellent communication in English and Korean, presentation skills, well organised and self motivated.
