Project Sales Manager
1. Purpose
To define the activities and responsibilities of the Project Sales Manager(Key Account Manager) for the Global Organizaion.
2. Description of Position
- Strategic international projects in order to long term growth and profitability by increasing market share on a global basis.
- Key coordination role in the global EagleBurgmann organization.
- Coordinating all international project related activities in the Pre-EPC and Quotation Phase of a project. Furthermore maintains the project coordination for any changes during Fulfillment Phase..
- Responsible for the customer relationship with end-user project teams outside the end-user country, in general for engineering contractors (Per-Feed, FEED, PMC and EPC) as well as contacts to OEM sales only offices to ensure these important projects.
- Report to their regional group leader who reports directly to the Vice President of International Projects.
3. Principal Responsibilities
- Pre-EPC Phase
- Obtain List of EPC for bidding process
- Identifying the evaluators, influencing persons, and decision-makers that are key to the project within EC Contractors.
- Develop Strategy for EPC Proposals
- Co-ordination of project work within the global sales organizations
- Definition of action plan and project specific responsibilities
- Preparation of project proposals and specification lists
- To ensure that EagleBurgmann products are listed and ideally preferred of specified in client project documentation for selected projects.
- Maintaining project records and files to ensure latest information by using ePro database.
- Attend and support client and internal project meetings
- Visits, presentations and seminars at engineering companies, OEM¡¯s and end users in co-operation with regional sales organizations.
- Quotation Phase Project Alliance
- Update project specific documents prepared in the Pre-EPC Phase.
- Selection of seals and systems with support of the application engineers of the divisions.
- Preparation of quotations and negotiations.
- Making amortization calculation and risk analysis.
- Maintaining project records and files to ensure latest information by using ePro database.
- Attend and support client and internal project meetings.
- Interface for the technical clarification between the customer and the application engineering.
- Visits, presentations and seminars at engineering companies, OEM¡¯s and end users in co-operation with regional sales organizations.
Fulfillment Phase
- Supervision and be the advocate of the EC-Key Account in case for specific orders where the EC Key account manager had a deep involvement (e.g. specific frame agreements or contracts with EC)
- Preparation of the Order Entry Package (correct, timely and complete)
- Arrange external kick-off meeting with customer as required
- Organize internal kick-off meeting with project fulfillment.
- Co-ordination of changes to the project order scope with the fulfillment department and the client.
- Maintaining project records and files to ensure latest information by using ePro database.
- Attend and support client and internal project meetings
- Support of spare part business by providing information to end user subsidiaries or Key Account Managers and/ or by supporting service contracts (Global Service Solutions).
General Tasks
- Primary client-facing position for EC Key Accounts for projects
- Identifies and qualifies legitimate EPC sales opportunities, providing a consultative and value-added approach to develop EPC relationships.
- Establishes and maintains a "preferred provider" relationship with the key decision makers and influencers of EC Key Accounts.
- Support Project related work of Regional Sales (also for national projects)
- Training and support of other sales members within the EagleBurgmann Group
- Development of client relationship, in particular for Engineering Contractors and OEM Sales only offices
- Visits of branch events (e.g. exhibitions, congresses, etc.)
- To Perform Other Project Related Tasks as Needed
