Job Title : Cost Accountant
Reporting to : Division Controller
Location : Parker Hannifin Connectors Korea, Yangsan
Job Summary
Reports directly to the Div. Controller with accountability to manufacturing, operations and other business doing at Plant. This responsibility also requires a close working relationship with all personnel of the Division to maintain strong internal controls and to work towards helping the Division achieve their Strategic Deployment objectives
With supervision, coordinates and administers accounting initiatives; Day-to-day responsibilities include the application of accounting principles, analysis of information, and preparing financial / cost accounting reports
Job Responsibility
- Perform monthly closing according to the Corporation schedule.
- All relating works from before closing to after closing reports.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.
- Prepare annual plan/monthly & weekly forecasting
- Corporate in a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Provide complex financial or statistical information to enable them to make financial decisions and control their operations.
- Perform in updating, maintaining, and enhancing the internal controls so that the future financial, internal control, and Sarbanes-Oxley audits are in compliance.
- Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Audit of Sales orders, purchase orders for accuracy and taxability(VAT).
- Tracking of perpetual inventory movements, reconciliation and explanations of differences between the perpetual versus the book balances, and monitoring and analysis of annual physical inventory.
- Provide/Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Perform in the development of standard cost.
- Monitor and maintain the Division’s capital projects and fixed assets. This includes : capital project transactions, asset transfer, asset disposals, asset maintenance, asset inventories, and working with the Corporation’s internet site to ensure maximum benefit received for potential asset sales.
- Analyze detail variances such as PPV, Material Usage, Labor & Overhead absorption, other manufacturing adjustment and departmental expenses on a regular basis.
Qualification Requirements – Mandatory
- Experienced in financial / cost accounting in manufacturing environment – 5 to 10 years preferred
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Certificate Holder preferred
- Bachelor’s degree of Accounting with the experience in multi-national companies
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills both in Korean and English
- Advanced Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet
- Experienced in internal controls, SOX, governance, US GAAP
- Demonstrated followership, project accounting, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
