Job summary: The Production Supervisor role will provide a range of expertise in supporting and improving the manufacturing capabilities to produce products.
Job Core Responsibilities
• Set and supervise the completion of daily priorities for the defined team of production workers, maintaining a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity
• Achieve day-to-day production objectives utilizing thorough and accurate planning methods to meet production schedules.
• Update and maintain necessary records/ documents of production work performed
• Manage staff selection, development, and performance to ensure requisite competencies and capabilities amongst the defined team. Utilizing training matrices to develop cross-training in order to enhance team flexibility.
• Ensure proper use of equipment, tools and materials amongst defined team.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment ensuring defined processes and requirements are adhered to and escalated as appropriate
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• 3-10 years previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering or relative fields
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of all business computer programs.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility and develops team.
• Dedicated to premier customer service.
• A substantial understanding of Lean principles (VSM, JIT, single piece flow, Kaizen, 5S)
